Amazing, awesome and exciting are some of the words people use to describe kiteboarding, but the only right way to know what it feels like is to try and find out! Of course, our Kitesurfing school also offers kitesurfing lessons with the latest kite equipment! Experience one of the most exciting and spectacular watersports – all training and courses will be done by experienced and highly qualified kite instructor on new 2017 equipment. In just a couple of hours, you will learn all basics and techniques which will allow you to be able to kitesurf on the third day of your course!
 

Kite Instruction at Funboard Center Boracay

Kitesurfing is one of the most fascinating sports, however, due to the combination of the natural elements of wind, water and wave together with a kite flying in 25m height there are a number of risks. Every kiter should be aware of the fact that regularly some heavy accidents occur. Therefore a professional and competent instruction should be seen as the right start to learn this sport and enjoy the fun and the thrill.

At Funboard Center Boracay we have great conditions for Kite Instruction. The Bulabog Beach offers warm water, a shallow lagoon, side onshore wind and quite a good portion of the sun. All our Kite Instructors are certified and trained in accordance with international guidance. Our Instruction is based on the newest findings and we are teaching with modern equipment from Slingshot and Gaastra.

As Safety comes first for us, all our instructors went through a competent training and certification. With a maximum of only 2 students per instructor a fast progress during the course is guaranteed for every beginner. Subject to the individual previous knowledge, a full course will last for 9 – 12 hours and even students without any precognition in e.g. Wake or Snowboarding will be on the board and experience the first exciting moments of kitesurfing.

What should i say? The best Spot to learn Kiteboarding with high quality teacher. Awesome place with wonderful people. Tasty, homemade food and warm ambiance with lots of Love for everything. I have been to Boracay in January and February 2017, hanging out with the lovely people of Funboard. It's a great kitesurfing school, located at the very end of bulabog beach, facing the sea, on the left hand side.If you are already a kitesurfer, this is the best location on the beach as is not too crowded, so you have pently of space to launch and land your kite safely. The "Beach Boys" are always ready to help you out. All the instructor are friendly, as well as professionally IKO qualified instructors, keen to make you become a kitesurfer in less than 10 hours! The vibe created by Simone, the owner, and the whole staff made me feel at home.My everyday sessions ended with lunch and dinner at the bar of the school. Bautiful healthy meals were made from fresh daily for a very competitive prices. Grazie Simone and the staff that works with her for the hospitality.I strongly recommend Funboard to everyone for a unique kitesurfing trip to Boracay.See you next year!read more

I went to Boracay for 9 days just to do kite surfing at the end of November. When I arrived I realized I left my pads and straps at home and I thought what a bad luck. This is how I found Funborad Center and the owner Simone , who lent me her own pads and strap for time of my stay. I chose this place as ma base and kept my equipment there. Simone and her team are fantastic . They will let u feel great during your stay, they advise you on the surfing condition , prepare your equipment , feed you with home cooked food and they just around for nice chat. You can feel your re in the place where people love the water sport and this includes the guests from all over the word as well. The spot has a great location where you can start your surfing and avoiding the crowd surfing near the main beach. I highly recommend and definitely will come back there. Funboard Center was amazing! Lovely and very supportive team, kitesurf material was set up and changing kite sizes was no problem, incomparable full time service! They also offered amazing food.We spent our kite surf holidays there in December 2018. Wind conditions for kiting were as it should be during this time, so kiting was possible every day. Even though Boracay island just reopened in October 2018, the island was partly still under construction (some roads and buildings,...). This, however did not impact kitesurfing at all. It was even better as there not as many kite surfers as usually and so lots of space :-).We would visit Funboard Center anytime and recommend it highly! Thanks for the amazing time!:-)read more

I know everyone talks about the great teaching staff at Simone’s - but have you had their bread? Their pumpkin soup or fresh juices? So delicious. Simone is also a yogi and infuses Ayurvedic practices into her lifestyle and kitchen both. Boracay is going through growing pains and Bulabog is no exception, but I’m glad that Funboard remains open. Came for Windsurfing, stayed for Kitesurfing and absolutely loved this outstanding place and the crew!Arriving with high hopes of endless windsurf hours over shallow blue water, I was quickly disillusioned with the Windsurfing conditions that are by times affected by the tides. Kite instructor Alex made immediate use of this weak moment of mine and the next day I took my first kitesurf lesson. The upwind position make this place the ideal spot to learn Kitesurfing at Bulabog beach, and the helpful crew together with the delicious homemade food made the time there an amazing experience. This my 4th time at School, there Christmas '20 as could fly safely from Manila. The essence of what makes it a great place to windsurf/kite, + lessons is alive and well, the gear, the location for launching but most of all the staff under Simone's direction. I am windsurfer and even though new boards Simone keeps some older ones for those of us that like it old school - one day started with 78ltr/4.2, all rigged and when sail / board changes needed already anticipated by Gido waiting for me at the beach. He second generation in his family windsurfing. Low wind days great opportunity to learn Kite boarding from Alex! IF YOU CAN get there this season GO GO GO - Cannot stress how magical it is to be on the water in that sort of wind with only one other windsurfer & 10 kites, white beach not mobbed on the otherside if your partner not join you on the water. If you find yourself already on the Island - get lessons in the low wind as its the type of conditions that are outstanding for learning to kite surf and world class instruction! Anyway - not overselling just wanting anybody that HAS the opportunity to take advantage as I have no doubt crowds will return as the conditions that make it one of the best places in the world ain't going away & the School has found a way to keep all of its essentials in the face of truly criminal "rehabilitation" wrought on the beach.read more
