Comfortable clean room, friendly staff. Food is fine. Not superb. We came here for diving. The diving crew are great, very friendly and helpful. You do not have to carry equipment by yourself, they will manage for you. The only shortfall is you have to walk about 300m to the boat to and back each dive. But think of it as an additional exercise. Diving wise in Boracay is not bad. There's stuff you can see here. We recommend night dive, so many things to see and its right in front of the hotel!read more

We dived with Calypso 2 years ago and had great time with Roy. Extremely disappointing this time. Roy and Andrew left Calypso, the diving master and Operation Manager who ran the dive shop well, now everything is poorly organised. The boat came very late. Our tour is postponed for 1 hour. We join for 3 dives and are told there is chance to stop for lunch. Otherwise we would have prepared food and eat on the boat. The 2nd dive finishes at almost 2:30pm. All in a sudden the staff tells us to start our 3rd dive at 3:00pm Though we compromise we can have quick sandwich (takes 10 mins to order and prepare, suck in our mouth in 3mins), we are blamed by the other guest. This ruin our mood totally. If everything is communicated properly, we wouldn't have such a bad day. The management now are not divers. They don't care guest experience. There are so many dive shops in Boracay. We would go for the one who care to bring guest a pleasant day/moment. We definitely won't dive with Calypso anymore!read more

I completed my PADI open water here and did it over a number of days with the instructor Arni. Very professional and very clear instruction on all techniques. I highly recommend this dive shop. The instructor to diver ratio was 2 or 3 to 1. Much better than other I’ve seen out on the water.read more

Rooms were lovely and clean ,great location in station 2 of white beach. Food was good,but mostly the PADI training was exceptional. Our instructor was Roy. Highly reccommend this man. My partner and I were first time scuba divers. He made us feel so comfortable and safe in the water. We ended up doing another dive with him another day. His knowledge and skills are amazing. Unfortunately we did not have enough time on the island to get certified. Thankyou for the great experience.read more

Very friendly staff with a great location right on the beach. I only selected this location to dive because it was the only one I could easily find via Google search. It says on their website you can get 10% off if you book online, but I was not able to find that option. I emailed them about a reservation and the night prior I stopped by to check up on it and make sure I would get the 10% off and was told it was OK. The morning of the dive I mentioned this and was given confusion that I should not have been told that, but they honored it anyways (Reason for 4 stars). It cost P2,000 per dive. There are other dive shops farther east (towards where people get on/off boats from the beach) which have the same price and it seems they offer walk in appointments. If you don't like the communication or price, haggle, and walk farther down the beach. I found at least 4 others (just don't show up with a quick search).read more

Calypso is just a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a quiet day in Boracay. The staff are very warm and welcoming, the rooms are quiet huge and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome, and the area is very strategic as it is just on the beach front of white sands! Highly recommended!!read more

Very friendly and laid back staff. Bernie, one of the PADI Dive Instructors, was very knowledgeable and helpful. This place is not a cattle call training resort, they train to the standard here. The room was clean and serviced daily. Hotel staff, including Venus was very kind and made the stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for divers and non-divers wanting to stay right on the beach.read more

This has been, by far, the best Boracay beach resort experience we’ve had. The deluxe room was a treat. The food were above par. But what really sets them apart from your usual beach resort is their staff. Superb hospitality. Kudos to the management for the exceptional staff despite the pandemic.read more

We originally booked this hotel to stay there in mid April for family vacation/attend a wedding. Like most people our flights all canceled in early April due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. Even though we had booked a non-refundable room at the time, this hotel was unwilling to refund our money and only offer rebooking up until late 2020. We have no plans to travel to Boracay for a long time so not getting a refund due to COVID-19 seemed very unfair. We finally got a refund from Booking.com due to the world pandemic situation and not from this hotel. I caution anyone trying to book at this hotel in the future due to world events that may happen out of our control and not being bale to be refunded.read more

Great place and atmosphere. The cook your own seafood was excellent. Highly recommend the angel wings just sauteed, the prawns in butter garlic is always a pleaser and the steamed whatever fish, was just perfect! Reasonably priced too, if you ask nicely you may get a bigger discount!!! The service was quick and responsive and you never have to wait too long for your bevy and bucket of ice!read more

Checked in here last June 2021. The room was huge! Staffs and Sir Gian were very accomodating. They also have a restaurant called Sensi but i never get to try the food but i heard it's good. This resort is beachfront, perfect location aswell. Few minutes from Station 2 where Dmall and other establishments are located. My 2 nights here were worth it! Considering the price, i think i got it on 75% off. Would be cheaper booking directly through their fb page. I will book here again. Kudos!read more

Calypso is one of the best Restaurants/Hotels on the White Beach, Boracay. Pool and nice Bar & eating corners with a view. Customers can also enjoy good but not pushy live music. Menu and drinks are varied, of good quality and inexpensive. A cosy place to relax and to come back!read more

Food was great service was great! I was a little upset they didn’t tell me about the 250 pesos per kilo of seafood they cooked, they even charged 250 pesos per kilo for raw oysters that don’t require cooking! The restaurant literally charge me to cook the food! I didn’t find out about the extra charges for cooking the seafood until the bill came. When I notified the waiter that brought me the bill about this all he said was I’m sorry nobody told you. There was also no signs talking about 250 peso cooking charge per kilo, furthermore a few nights ago I had fresh Lapu-Lapu and prawns at another restaurant and was not charged for cooking The fresh seafood. I kind of felt like I was being scammed.read more

Calypso Dive Resort is perfect for families. This is my family’s first trip to Boracay (group of 13) and I never regretted getting this resort.Pros: beach front. They have their own pool and restaurant with performer during the night. Superior rooms are one of the best for big group or families. Debbie and other staff is really nice and accommodating.Neutral: Regular room is decent and okay, I guess it could use some improvement to make it lively. An incredible diving experience! I completed my PADI Advanced Open Water certification at Calypso and there is probably no better place! My instructor was Harry, who was informative, friendly, helpful and made all 5 of my dives very enjoyable! After the first dive he noticed some things and gave me tips to save energy and air, which resulted in my next dives lasting a lot longer! I saw some awesome wrecks (a ship and a plane) and a lot of interesting creatures. If you are going to dive on Boracay, do it at Calypso!The food at the restaurant is great too! 🙂read more

Very nice place! Dont mind what other people say to downgrade it! The room is awesome the staff is super friendly en the location is top!!!! There where some renovations going on but who cares about it if youre here to be outside and enjoy Boracay, they where always stopping in a decent hour and i can only encourage renovations therefore it makes the places even better! I do not recommend. Very poor service and resort. I can get a better hotel for the same price.If you are looking for late nights live band music and a lotta noise at the beach front, then this is for you.But if you are like me, with 2 kids, find another place. An absolute not-kid friendly resort. Lots of surprises.-i left the “make up my room” sign afternoon, I came back 10pm, surprise, room is still a mess-I asked for drinking water refill, they said yes, Surprise, it never came-The rooms furnitures including the bed frame is made from stones, my kids bumped their head twice on the head board-the live band is sooo disturbing it goes until late night, you will hear it in your room-the on-going construction is also terrible, that their pool cannot be used in until after 6pm, they didn’t even bother telling me when I booked.read more

This place is discussing. Staff are rude. Facilities are very rundown and filthy. Not really even safe to stay here. The rooms stink. No idea how to clean. Lots of mould and ratshit around the room. Nothing like the photos on their ad. Meant to have ocean view but no view from room. Part to beach was dirty with garbage laying around everywhere. The food smell off did not try to eat it.read more

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Calypso Beach & Dive Resort on Boracay Island, and I must say that it is hands down the best hotel on the island. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff.One of the standout features of this resort is its outstanding restaurant. The food was consistently excellent and the variety on the menu ensured there was something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood dishes, which were some of the best I've had in a long time.Another highlight of my stay was the incredible sunset views. The resort's location on the beach is perfect for watching the sun go down over the ocean, and there are plenty of outdoor seating options available to make the most of it. It was truly a magical experience.Aside from the great food and stunning views, the owners and crew of Calypso Beach & Dive Resort were some of the nicest people I've ever met. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and I felt genuinely cared for during my time there.Overall, I cannot recommend Calypso Beach & Dive Resort enough. I really like the EPIC view of the beach from your room makes up for it. In addition, the staff are super friendly and accommodating - 5/5 for service! Just completed my Open Water course with Roy and stayed at Calypso for three nights.Overall a great experience, rooms are clean and comfortable and the bathroom seemed quite new. However, they only cleaned the room on alternate days, didn’t provide much drinking water and refused to offer me any free water on my final morning in the restaurant which is quite poor. Also the restaurant has live music until around 11:30pm every night so not great for early starters, luckily I had good ear plugs!As for the PADI dive certification, really enjoyed the experience. I was lucky to have 121 tuition from Roy who was knowledgeable, calm and professional and the dives we did were fantastic - got to see turtles, squid, sea snakes and a whole host of tropical marine fish. Overall a great place for an intro course - would recommend for beginners.read more

They have a live band that is suitable for supposedly enjoyable dinner. The restaurant ambiance is simple for a relaxing stay. However, for the food I find it way too overpriced. Chicken portion is too small meant for finger foods. Their beef, its like rubber not sure how it was prepared and cooked. Their restaurant does not serve service water. Their bottled water is also overpriced. They also have 10% service charged on top of the bill.read more

Overpriced. Not worth it. No complimentary breakfast for a 3 year old child. They are billing scrambled eggs for a child. The wardrobe hinges are not soft closing. The stair steps or risers to Nemo are too high and are very dangerous for children. No option for fiber-rich breakfast. I don't recommend this hotel.read more

Place was located in a nice spot right in front of the beach. Hotel and morning restaurant staff were welcoming and nice throughout our stay. Now we’ve gotten the positives out of the way, where do I start with the negatives?Our bathroom reeked of open sewage, and if someone’s using the shower that smell wafts to the bedroom. You can tell the pillows and towels are ancient since you can literally smell them decaying after just a night of stay.I kid you not, I also had to chase and kill a full sized cockroach in our room. Numerous mosquitos inside our room tried to feast on us throughout our stay. Only the ceiling fan kept them at bay.If your room is located near their restaurant, expect loud music till 1130 pm if its busy. Almost everything we ordered from their restaurant was bland and all were overpriced. Their beer bucket was advertised as 599 pesos but they charged me 650. Some of their restaurant staff at night were frown clowns. Not once did they smile while I was talking to them. The evening before we checked out, our kids were swimming in their pool and the decorative lights mere inches above the waterline had a short. Major safety issue there.Non hotel staff doing room service massage have to pay 100 pesos at the front desk, which seems like shoddy practice to us. I get that the masseuse might have known about it and didnt disclose the fact until after my wife tipped her, but that means if you’re stingy her tip would be slashed by 100 since that’ll go to the hotel, and if you’re not, that’s another 100 out of your pocket.All in all a poor experience and not something I’d recommend.read more

It was our first time in boracay and didn’t have a good experience with this accommodation. We lost some of our stuff INSIDE our room. Reported it to them but nothing happened they didn’t have any cctvs no security at all. Not even a single apology heard. They just said it was the first time it happened. Unlucky. We just had to let it go and thought at least we were alive and safe. But never again with this hotel. Traumatizing.read more

terrible stay here the staff where incredibly rude talking in there own language not knowing my husband spoke and understood them calling us names the room was disgusting bed bugs cockroach's we literally had to cut our trip short due to the bites the food from the restaurant was mediocre and the pool was dirty then upon leaving the staff continued to be rude stating we needed to tell them where we where going at our ages we dont need to tell them anything we will never use this place again no wonder it was so cheapread more

I like this hotel - it’s right next to the beach and walking distance to all the things we need. Room is also ok.Most staff is very friendly - some few not.During check out I asked to see the receipts and first they said no but after checking with manager I was allowed 😅Then I noticed they said overcharged me.
