Dirty and smelly facilities specially at the elevator, the floor is raw metal and already corroding, maybe the floor will collapse in a few months due to corrosion. Save your money and go somewhere else. I'd give this place no star at all if I could. When we stayed here in May 2017; it all went down the drain as soon as we checked in. They couldn't find our reservation that we booked online. The front desk guy not only asked for me and my husbands I.D. but also my kids I.D's. When I informes him that my kids didn't have any ID. He then asked for school IDs. I said no they dont ( my kids are 4yrs old and 9yrs old) he said in a very sarcastic way "dont they have a school where you guys came from?". The guy didnt apologize. I asked for the manager. Manager didn't do anything about it. Crappy people! The room they put us in was in the very corner at the 4th floor with no views at all. The window was useless. It was a view of another building wall that's 2 feet away. I could go on and on. Just don't do it to save yourself the headache of having to deal with crappy people!read more

I will not recommend this if you vacationer like we did. We weren't treated nicely by front desk agent. Boracay is for foreigner if you aren't local they will not pay attention to you.

Pros: Beach front , Friendly Staffs, Large Bed & Clean room, Wi-Fi is ok.Cons: Elevator is not working , swimming pool needs maintenance clean coz it's a little foggy, breakfast is xoxo, bedrooms toiletries needs little detail like facial tissue , bathroom shower needed a compartment where I can put my shampoo, soap etc.. Pretty noisy people in swimming pool or restaurant, the door are not sound proof so you can hear guests shouting. More Chinese guests I dont see any westerners or American in the area more on chinese.read more

The room and bathroom is spacious and the staff are nice. The toilets clogs during are stay and its just so inconvenient. They tried to fix it and the next time we just have to open the tank every time it stops as it is what it is.We have to pay php 300 for every guess we have that wants to have the pool with 1 juice drink included, its fair enough but i would have love some discount since we are staying there as well. We check around and its the same or cheaper than others but the rooms you can find better places.read more

Golden Phoenix was our first hotel stop for our honeymoon. Unfortunately, there was a mix up with our booking and they ended up not having ours in their location. However, they still accommodated us and still made our room as special as they can - swan towels, flowers, etc... The front desk was great, they were so nice about the whole thing and even helped us out with calling our tour guides for pick up times. Breakfast was good. There are days when they have great food, and other days when there’s okay food. The hotel is majority the Chinese nationality, fyi. The elevator broke down a lot, but we figured a way for it to work. Just wiggle it a little inside and it should take you upstairs lol.The rooms are great. My only comment about it was that the shower glass didn’t really prevent water from splashing out. The floors and the bed WILL have sand, but what else do you expect from a hotel that’s beach side? They provide slippers, which was great.Location was great. Beach side, in station 3, near a lot of stores, restaurants, and the docking station. My only complaint was when we were dropped off from the airport, they didn’t drop us off right in the hotel. They had to drop us at the side of the street and we had to walk through a rocky and ugly back road with our luggages to get to the hotel. No vehicles allowed.Golden Phoenix has a band play every night. They can run pretty late and you can hear it from the rooms, but it was bearable. I think this hotel had one of the best performers out of all the other hotels around.read more

Need renovation. Dirty lounges, dust is everywhere in the room, no bidet in all deluxe rooms, guards are disrespectful, no room service-restaurant closes early- even their guests are awake at night. Breakfast are worst. But luckily they have good reception and housekeeping staff.❤️read more

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms have been modernized. The room was clean and modern. The beds were comfy. Washroom was modern and spacious. The view is the next building within 1 foot but we didn't care. We're only there to sleep. The location was excellent.read more

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. Our family friend booked and process everything. Golden Phoenix Hotel Boracay is nice and clean.Located at Station 3. What we loved staying in this hotel was, there is a pool inside where our kids and family can swim if the beach is hot. Plus points, the beach is just in front of the Hotel. Everything is closed by! Buffet Breakfast and dinner buffets are served. Eat all you can.The only thing is, 2 towels are provided upon arrival but can't get more than that from the front desk, You can request more towels at the poolside but it is a scarcity of towels.No cable tv, just a local channel that is scheduled hours. Well, your goal is not to stay in the hotel but to explore Boracay!WIFI is fast but most of the time, you keep logging in again.Overall experience was great. Definitely, worth the stay here in the Golden Phoenix Hotel Boracay!read more

Good hotel with decent amenities at an affordable rate and value for money- Room 4/5- Breakfast 2/5 I wish it was a buffet. If it was I would put it at 4/5- Dinner buffet, 500 Php per head. In tasted amazing I think the chef is talented because I can tell he was given cheap ingredients but he made the food taste amazing even though the food presentation wasn’t that great. Therefore 4/5- bar is 4/5 as good pricesC it’s by the beach- staff is friendly- I recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to Boracay, it is value for moneyread more

I recently stayed at this hotel and I must say, the level of cleanliness and overall experience left much to be desired.First, the bedsheet in my room had a cockroach! I was utterly disgusted by this lack of hygiene.Next, the lack of TV channels was a major disappointment. After a long day, I was hoping to unwind and catch up on some shows, only to find that there was nothing to watch. It felt like a wasted opportunity to relax and enjoy my stay.The bathroom had a persistent odor of urine. I couldn't escape the foul smell even for a moment, making my stay extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant. The bathroom's water supply was faulty, resulting in an overflow onto the floor. I had to deal with a wet and slippery mess every time I entered the bathroom. It was not only inconvenient but also hazardous.Even the lighting in the room was abysmal. The dim lights near the bed made it almost impossible to do makeup. It felt like I was stumbling around in the dark, which is definitely not what I expect from a 4 star hotel.Lastly, the lack of a charging port near the electric kettle was a major inconvenience. I had to move the kettle around and search for a suitable outlet, wasting valuable time and effort. This oversight in room design is simply unforgivable.Overall, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The unhygienic conditions, lack of entertainment options, foul odor, water overflow, dim lighting, and inconvenient amenities made it clear that this establishment does not prioritize guest satisfaction. I strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to think twice and explore other options.read more

A good budget friendly hotel. It’s beachfront which is great and near good restaurants.They have breakfast buffet which is okay and has a lot of variety.The pool is clean and spacious. MComments for improvement:-Should have more pool/beach towel availability-Bad smell in the reception area and not very welcoming.-Need to constantly reconnect to the wifi.-Windows in the room cannot be locked.-Place in the shower to put soap bars.-Rug in the rooms.read more

Everything was clean, linens and towels white and smell good. Busy place from dusk to evening, but becomes quiet later in the night. Location is perfect, walking distance to everything we needed like laundry, convenient stores, restaurants, massage, etc. Staff are very polite and helpful. Breakfast buffet very nice (if you want hot food go 6am). Pool was clean and hot shower was working well. Will highly recommend to friends for value of money too.read more

Friendly staff, the place is not over crowded,it's located in station 3. Nice beach front and with pool. You just need to walk around 45 min going to the famouse spot like Grotto and station 2 . We feel safe In the area. Breakfast is decent enough to fill your day.read more

The Resort is indeed a front beach resort with buffet breakfast 😊 The food is nice and the staff (mostly the interns/OJT's) are accommodating and kind.The place is also quiet and not crowded. If you want to go to the bars/clubs at Station 2, you will need to walk 10 - 15 min.The rooms are spacious and they offered my sister an extra bed free of charge.Hotel wifi is not okay for digital nomads and we were already notified by the front desk (I forgot your name,Kuya but you were so honest and helpful).We do have back up mobile data (GOMO) however, we still had a difficult time working at night because we can't get a stable reception in the room. We found another digital nomad working by the hallway on the sofa, maybe the wifi is better there.Good thing we traveled during the weekend and have filed our leaves in advance😁read more

I stayed there with my Family. Rooms are nice and clean we got two rooms. The thing is beach towel is always not available. Aircon has a loud noise sometimes that makes us feel scared. Staff are nice and friendly. It is located in station 3 which is nice near in activities or port for activities. Accessible to everything. Their swimming pool is also nice. It is also beachfront hotel so you have a nice view when you are eating in their breakfast buffet. Love the food too.And you ll love their views. I also love the foam party! It was fun experience! And never forget the Adios drink! I booked this hotel 4 months before our vacation. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and we paid for an early check-in. Things to consider: Wi-Fi is not strong, and there are some intermittent disconnections with their internet; if this helps, the Globe sim card is fast!Their overall hotel service is good, especially daily room service and refill of waters, and their breakfast buffet is exquisite! They even had a laundry service which we availed.The location is in Station 3, so it is quite near activity areas, which costs us around 100 - 150 per ride back and forth to the hotel.If you want a good hotel, especially with a swimming pool, book them. They also accept credit cards for your payments.read more
