When I went to the Philippines in February 2016 for a holiday, we planned to go and visit Boracay. I decided to pick the Blue Bayou Bungalows to gain a more local ambiance instead of going to the usual modern hotels. It was a very nice experience actually staying on a bamboo, nipa, timber and concrete structure. The trees and plants around the area made it very exotic and cool. The bungalows are just a few steps away from the beach.read more

Our stay would have been nice but whole experience was not good. Had bed bug bites on my entire back 2 days before my wedding day. We only stayed there for a few nights. We requested to get our room cleaned and bed replaced or give us the option to move but the reception/management didn't take much action. They didn't compensate us for the inconvenience.read more

Very nice bungalows, 2 floors with the bed at the second level, a small kitchen and balcony. The garden is very plaisant and we enjoyed having breakfast (delicious omelettes) at the main building every morning.We had insects but as expected in a natural environment, it was not because it was not clean because it clearly was.A little distance from other resorts, the D'Mall and a small walk (10 min max) from the beach but still pretty well situated.Only point some mentioned about the place but was fine by us is the noise coming from the Hostel next door. As the bungalows are not really sound proof, you can hear the music until midnight. Same for rosters and other animals but this part add to the ambiance 🙂read more
