Colona Watersports opened in 2002 at the Magawish Hotel in Hurghada. Starting off as a fairly small operation the centre has grown from strength to strength over the years and now boasts full rescue and beach services with launching and landing assistance, weather stations, wireless internet and a shop stocked with the latest equipment.

It’s our aim to be on the forefront of the Kite surfing industry so you’ll always find the highest quality products available for test and purchase. In addition to our top of the line materials you will find a multi-lingual staff of Instructors, management and beach assistants on hand to cater for all your Kiting needs during your stay! Colona Watersports is affiliated with the IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) and teaches all levels of IKO kiteboarding courses from beginner up to IKO Instructor Training Courses.

With 3 separate areas for experts, beginners and a completely dedicated school area, you will find it one of the safest and accessible places to learn and improve your skills. In addition to introducing and educating hundreds of students to the sport of Kite surfing. Colona Watersports also caters for many free-riders and pro-kiters.

We’re always pleased to welcome back guests who visit us time and time again to enjoy the good winds and warm waters. Many a pro-rider and full sponsored teams have returned to us over the years to take advantage of our picturesque settings and famous sand bar for those all-important photo shoots.

We’re always pleased to see Aaron Hadlow, Maciek Kozerski, Kevin Langeree and Mark Shinn with the Nobile team returning to our centre to take advantage of the service and attention provided by our ever-helpful staff.

Colona Watersports is situated in Hurghada, a town brimming with activities where you can find so much more than just kitesurfing… Wakeboarding, Desert Safaris, Snorkelling, Diving and much more… For the evenings Hurghada boasts excellent restaurants and a great night life with bars and nightclubs.

Hi. I cant write here about the whole experience as it would take to long. Its a place with great people where you can feel that you are part of the family. You can tell imediately its not all about the money with Amin.He is all about the customer being happy, makes you feel very welcomed and try to accommodate you in every way possible. Also our instructor, Mohamed ,if I remeber corectly is a very nice and patient person and that is important as we were on our first lessons.Overall a very pleasant experience. Best place in Hurghada for kite surfing, no doubt.read more
