Welcome to British Virgin Islands!

With a reputation that far exceeds its modest size, Saba Rock (located in the North Sound of Virgin Gorda) boasts not only a famous over the water lounge bar and restaurant, but also an 8 bedroom hotel, 10 slip marina, gift shop, gardens and sun deck.

Saba Rock Restaurant is one of the more respected establishments in the British Virgin Islands, offering both a lounge menu and a dinner menu with a wide selection of seafood (including local conch and lobster in season), salads and grills.

The boutique hotel, which is consistently ranked among the top hotels in the BVI, is accessible via a 10 minute ferry ride from Virgin Gorda. Alternatively, you can arrive on your own boat and take a slip in the Marina.

Arrival by Airplane

When booking your flight, the most convenient airports are San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU), St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (STT), Antigua (ANU) or Saint Martin (SXM). From these airports you will be able to connect with Cape Air, Air Sunshine, Seaborne Airlines, & LIAT for flights to Beef Island Airport, Tortola (EIS) or Virgin Gorda Airport (VIJ). Why not take a sea plane? Shoreline Aviation (http://www.shorelineaviation.com/crbst_3.html; richardosuch208@shorelineaviation.com or tel +1 340 642 3000) offers a reliable amphibious seaplane service to and from the North Sound out of St Thomas, St Croix and San Juan. Both private charters and commuter transfers (min 4 passengers) are available.

Arrival by Boat

From Beef Island, Tortola, we recommend taking Speedy’s Ferry Service from Trellis Bay dock to Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda. Speedy’s operates a courtesy shuttle bus which will transport you the short distance from the airport to the dock. From St Thomas, USVI, there are several ferries every day to Road Town, Tortola and direct ferries to Virgin Gorda running on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Ferry schedules are available on www.bestofbvi.com. If you will be arriving in Spanish Town, please let us know, so that we may organise a taxi to meet you and bring over to the dock at Gun Creek in the North Sound. Once on the islands, it is very simple to travel between both, the US and British Virgin Islands chain. There are a number of ferry companies with daily routes between the islands. Ferry schedules are available online here as well as in your local edition of The BVI Welcome magazine.
